Coronation Street's Kit star on who gives him his 'comeuppance' as Gary Windass link teased

Coronation Street star Jacob Roberts has been hinting at who could be the one to bring Kit Green down - as well as a potential link to Gary Windass.

Fans of the ITV soap were first introduced to the bent copper earlier this year after Bernie Winter went on a mission to find her long-lost son, Zodiac, who was later renamed Christopher when he was adopted.

He's since made things difficult for Bernie, even attempting to turn children Paul and Gemma Winter against her. But it's not just family matters that are making Corrie fans suspicious of Kit.

Desperate to further his career, Kit ha been seen planting evidence in the Lauren Bolton case, resulting in Nathan Curtis being put behind bars for grooming the teen after she returned to the street alive and he's recently forced Beth Tinker off the street after she tried to play him at his own game.

But what Beth didn't know is that Kit had already been trying to get some dirt on her son, his fellow police officer Craig Tinker. So Kit threatened to ruin Craig’s career by exposing the cover-up of Faye Windass and Emma Brooker's hit and run in 2021 to his bosses if Beth was to do anything with the video of him doing dodgy dealings with Sid.

Talking about Kit now having dirt on Craig, Jacob told the Manchester Evening News and other press: "Yeah, I love that!" He added of Kit and Craig's relationship: "In a way, it looks like I’m bullying him, or this that and the other, but I think he does like it, Craig. And I think they are a good combo."
