Coronation Street's Betsy star told 'well said' as she hit back at famous star's 'acting school' jibe
Coronation Street star Sydney Martin has been flooded with praise as she stood-up for a fellow soap actor after a very famous face took to social media to criticise their performance.
The actress, from Rossendale, made her debut in the ITV soap last year as Betsy Swain as she was revealed as the previously unseen daughter of DS Lisa Swain and the character has already been ruffling feathers in Weatherfield.
But away from her role on the cobbles, Sydney was keen to show support for her fellow soap actor as he came under fire from Lord Alan Sugar.
The Apprentice star often takes to social media to share his views on the latest goings on in EastEnders but his latest comment sparked uproar as he shared his thoughts on Davinder 'Nugget' Gulati, played by Juhaim Rasul Choudhury.
The character is currently struggling in the aftermath of his grandfather Nish Panesar. Before the villain's death, Nugget was helping him after he escaped from prison and was hiding out in a flat in Walford.
As well as bringing Nish food and water, Nugget fell victim to his manipulative ways as he managed to convince the teen to assist in a plan that made it look as though he had ended his life, all so he could get to ex-wife Suki and Eve Unwin's wedding and attempt to put a stop to it.
But following his death in a balcony fall, the family have been left divided and Nugget is still struggling to see his grandfather as the evil abuser others now clearly see him as, with him turning on his mother on the day of Nish's funeral. Following the latest scenes, Lord Sugar took to social media and said: "Nugget. Gets on my nerves and should go back to acting school @bbceastenders."
Now, Sydney has been hailed for clapping back at his comments as she wrote on
