Coronation Street star Peter Ash sent same message as he's seen with 'favourites' in rare family snaps
Coronation Street star Peter Ash has been flooded with the same message from fans as he shared a string of rare family snaps during a break from preparing for his next role.
As fans of the ITV soap know, the actor played Paul Foreman on the cobbles for six years. He bowed out of the long-running show in September, with his beloved character's heartbreaking death coming 17 months after he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
The hard-hitting storyline saw Corrie work with the help of the MND Association to portray the deterioration of Paul as well as the effect the disease had on his family and friends, including husband Billy Mayhew, mother Bernie Winter, sister Gemma Winter and Summer Spellman.
After a heartbreaking race to say goodbye in which his husband Billy, played by Daniel Brocklebank, didn't make it, Paul has since been laid to rest and Corrie viewers recently saw Paul's ashes shot up into space. But in an unexpected twist, Paul was also seen returning in an emotional confrontation with his despairing husband Billy.
Peter later made another appearance on the cobbles when Billy turned to alcohol in the wake of his grief. Things reached a dramatic head as after storming out of the Rovers Return, Billy drank behind the factory and began to hallucinate. As he struggled to face the cold night, Paul was heard encouraging Billy to wake up and turn things back around. Soon after the emotional scenes, Bernie found Billy having been visited by Paul in her dream.
Since his exit from the cobbles, Peter has been seen starring in panto in Oldham and will soon be back on stage in Peter James' stage adaptation of Picture You Dead. But before he hits the road, the former soap star was seen enjoying some time off in the
