Coronation Street fans spot travel blunder as they rumble who has taken Stephen's passport

Coronation Street fans think they have spotted a travel blunder whilst also working out who has Stephen Reid's passport as his escape plan was intercepted. The serial killer's desperate exit hit a stumbling block during Wednesday night's visit to Weatherfield (October 11) as his own family started to question whether he was capable of murder.

Those who follow the long-running show are very much aware that the dastardly businessman-turned-serial killer has been up to no good for months but that in the ITV soap's Super Soap week this week, Stephen will definitely be making a dramatic exit from the cobbles.

How he does that remains to be seen as after Jenny Connor backed out of their planned Thailand getaway after Carla told Jenny her suspicions about her new partner. A desperate Stephen then modified his flight to leave earlier before stealing almost £250,000 from Underworld.

Before he could get away, Stephen faced confrontation with Peter Barlow - who he looked ready to attack in retaliation - before his mother Audrey Roberts arrived at her son's former flat to confront him over stealing the equity of her home.

But there was suddenly a search for Audrey when the Platts feared for her whereabouts, only to find the flat empty when they arrived. In the meantime, Audrey had locked herself in her salon as she was left blaming herself for Stephen's theft after he brought up her giving him up as a baby.
