Coronation Street fans issue demand as they spot blunder over Ed Bailey's gambling being exposed

Coronation Street fans have issued a demand as they claim to have spotted an issue with Ed Bailey's gambling problem being exposed. The builder has been struggling in silence after slipping back into his old gambling habits and things have gone from bad to worse.

After borrowing money and even taking out a credit card in the late Norris Cole's name, the truth about Ed's troubles were revealed to his family during Wednesday night's Corrie (December 27). Before Christmas, Ed told his family they had been burgled when his friend Tony returned demanding the money back he owed him.

Tony made his way into Ed's home after he opened his front door ready to leave to reunite with his wife, Aggie. When Tony threatened to tell her all about what her husband had done, Ed reached to stop his friend from taking the phone which then ended up with Tony punching Ed in the face before ordering him to gather the Christmas presents from under the tree and take them to a pawn shop to get his cash.

Ed later lied to his children Michael and Dee-Dee, his brother Ronnie and his dad Sarge about the disappearance of the presents. However, with the police involved, viewers later saw Craig Tinker tell the Baileys that there was little chance of finding the criminal.

Ed was quick to encourage everyone to just drop it and move on. Meanwhile, when back at work, Sean Tully and Izzy Armstrong surprised Michael with a new wendy house for his daughter, Glori. However, Micheal opened it up to realise it was the one he had bought in the first place before it was stolen.
