Coronation Street fans horrified after spotting whopping price rise in Roy Cropper's cafe

Coronation Street fans have been left horrified after spotting the rising price of Roy Cropper’s pie and chips.

The beloved character runs Roy’s Rolls, where many a Corrie character can be seen grabbing a spot of lunch on the ITV soap.

Fans were quick to comment on the hilarious post, with one writing: “I genuinely love that you’ve done this.”

Another said: “I texted my mate when I saw the curry had gone up!” A third Corrie fan rightly observed: “Surely it was underpriced before?”

“Wow, Roy Cropper really out here giving us a taste of that inflation pie. Can’t believe we’re living in a world where even our mushy peas are getting more expensive,” a fourth wrote.

While a fifth joked: “Cropper the capitalist pig!”

Roy Cropper is one of the best-loved characters on TV and has been played by actor David Neilson for almost 30 years.

He first appeared in Corrie in 1995 as a secondary character, but became a permanent fixture on the cobbles in 1997.

Since then he has captured the nation’s hearts as
