Coronation Street fans couldn't hide their delight as two of the soap's best-known legends were seen enjoying a reunion. Bruce Jones and Julie Hesmondhalgh, who played taxi driver Les Battersby and the late Hayley Cropper, beamed in a selfie posted to social media.
Bruce is famed for having played Les, the father of Leanne and step-father of Toyah and Chesney Brown for a decade in the ITV soap between 1997 and 2007 who was best known for his outspoken opinions and his following of English rock band Status Quo.
Since his departure from the cobbles, Bruce has appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013 alongside his former on-screen wife Vicky Entwistle, who played Janice in Corrie, and he’s also appeared in Celebrity Come Dine With Me, as well as acting in various feature films and on stage in pantomime.
