Coronation Street fans have been left gushing over Daniel Brocklebank's 'beautiful little family' after they were left crying they're 'not ready' over his latest scenes with co-star Peter Ash.

The actor, known for playing Billy Mayhew in the ITV soap, and on-screen husband Peter, who plays Paul Foreman, are currently tackling a hard-hitting storyline in the ITV soap. As viewers know, Paul was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease last year.

The couple have since fast-tracked their plans to get married, tying the knot in emotional yet joyous scenes last year after Paul was given the devastating news that he had the fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord meaning he was told he only had six to twelve months to leave.

Fans have been watching the emotional storyline unfold for months, including Paul's heartbreaking deterioration. During Wednesday night's (March 20) episode of Corrie, Paul’s new personal assistant arrived to take care of him while Billy was out but was a bit concerned when the PA mentioned that she usually looked after much older patients.

Despite his worries, Billy headed out and left the PA alone in the flat with Paul. She was chatting away as she made Paul some lunch when he for some cheese crisps, the PA had trouble understanding him and kept asking him to repeat himself. At the same time, Billy arrived back and witnessed the awkward moment and quickly tried to cover the issues.
