Coronation Street fans 'figure out' two ways Max Turner could leave cobbles with 'devastation' for David Platt
Coronation Street fans think they have figured out the two ways Max Turner could possibly leave Weatherfield as the actor who plays him confirmed they were leaving.
Paddy Bever took over the role from Harry McDermott, who played the role from 2010 but left to continue with his acting studies and explore other opportunities, in a re-casting back in 2021.
As for Max, he has been in the sole custody of his step-father David Platt since his mother Kylie's death in 2016 and has lived with David, step-mum Shona Platt and younger sister Lily at No.8 Coronation Street ever since.
But Max will soon be seen bowing out of Weatherfield in the Spring after Paddy made the 'difficult decision' to call time on his soap role after four years.
The 22-year-old said in a statement to the Mirror: "After much reflection and in an incredibly difficult decision, I have chosen to step away from Max, and Coronation Street, to explore new opportunities. I have been surrounded by such kindness and support every step of the way."
He continued: "It’s been a great privilege to contribute to the legacy of such a well-loved and iconic show. This chapter has been unforgettable and while I look forward to what lies ahead, I will treasure these memories."
Following the news, fans have been speculating how they think Max will leave. So far, they have two main theories with one involving Lauren Bolton and her current court case as she faced a murder charge for killing her abuser Joel Deering.
The other comes amidst rumours of a dramatic time for the Platts with reports suggesting David's involvement with Harvery Gaskell will see their home up in flames - either way, it'll leave David and the rest of the Platt clan devastated.
