ITV Emmerdale set to revisit Aaron Dingle abuse story as star confirms 'motive' to kill

Emmerdale star Danny Miller has confirmed that his character Aaron Dingle has the 'motive' to kill in the Dales in upcoming scenes. Next week, viewers will watch as Anthony Fox is found dead and the killer is nowhere to be seen - yet.

In recent weeks the ITV soap has tackled some difficult and rather harrowing storylines, from teenager April Windsor going missing on Christmas Day, to Moira Dingle receiving treatment for her brain tumour and Ruby Fox-Miligan struggling with the memories resurfacing of abuse her father Anthony subjected her to.

Last night's episode (15th January), viewers learnt that Caleb is not Steph's biological father as he found Ruby's DNA test results. Next week, Chas puts two and two together realising that it must be Anthony and she informs a furious Caleb of this news.

With multiple enemies lurking around the village, Anthony will receive is comeuppance as he is shot dead. While things may first point at Caleb as he had a gun delivered to him and lured Anthony to follow him to a barn so he could confront his father-in-law, the murder suspect might not be as simple as it seems.

Actor Danny Miller who has played the role of Aaron Dingle since the character was recast in 2008, shared that Aaron "has always been wary of Anthony." He added: "Whether that be an instinct from experience or whether that’s a case of - he’s a loud and out there character - something Aaron hasn’t always been a huge fan of regardless of who it is. But I think he’s got his suspicions of him for whatever reason that may be."
