Coronation Street drama at the Rovers Return as Glenda Shuttleworth terrified in robbery

There's a terrifying robbery set to take place in Weatherfield next week as the Rovers Return in targeted. Coronation Street fans will know that the beloved boozer only reopened at the end of last year after being boarded up for months.

After crippling costs saw Jenny Connor sell the pub to Newton and Ridley all seemed well. The landlady was able to continue running the pub with the help of her staff - Daisy Midgeley, Sean Tully, Glenda Shuttleworth and Gemma Winter-Brown. However, the jubilation didn't last long as they discovered Newton and Ridley were being sold to another company, Waterford Incorporated.

Later, Waterford's manager arrived to break the news that they were closing the Rovers for an extensive refurbishment and that the staff's contracts had terminated with immediate effect, leaving Jenny and the staff in a spin. With no legal way of changing Waterford's minds, the group, full of rage, thought they might as well go out with a bang before the place was boarded up for the foreseeable future but it only ended up making things worse.

Jenny was threatened with legal action if she and her staff were ever to step foot in the pub again. However, she didn't listen, as she ended up the Rovers alongside Sarah Barlow when serial killer Stephen Reid struck before his death in shock scenes aired in October. But she may have her deadly, late ex-partner to thank for getting the Rovers back after Daisy located the money he had stolen from Underworld.
