Coronation Street star teases 'tip of the iceberg' as Leanne Battersby in danger of significant loss

Leanne Battersby is set to face a significant loss of money in upcoming Coronation Street scenes as her trust in 'The Institute ramps up. It started last month when the character, played by Jane Danson, accompanied Simon Barlow to one of Rowan Cunliffe's seminars at the Chariot Square Hotel.

Leanne was taken aback when the group mentor approached her and offered her some unsolicited advice as she dealt with Simon's drink-driving and her partner Nick Tilsley's reaction. Leanne was quickly won over as Rowan encouraged her to share her innermost thoughts and feelings.

She was later seen trying out some of her new teachings at home with Nick as they discussed their relationship and plans to slow down on the wedding planning front after she popped the question on Valentine's Day.

But in upcoming scenes, Toyah Habeeb will find Leanne watching one of Rowan’s motivational videos and as she enthuses about the benefits of his teachings, Toyah remains sceptical. When Toyah finds out from Simon that Leanne must be forking out a significant amount of money to the Autovalent Institute, she's left seriously concerned.

Nick later catches Leanne with her eyes closed and explains that she's 'reality coding' in an attempt to eliminate the unexpected. Debbie Webster, meanwhile, tells Toyah that Rowan’s leaving for the States and she’ll be glad to see the back of him as she’s sick of listening to his ‘reality coding’ nonsense.
