Coronation Street confirms surprise return after 13 year absence

Coronation Street has confirmed the surprise return of Violet Wilson - 13 years after she left Weatherfield. It has been revealed that actress Jenny Platt is reprising the role in the ITV soap and has already been filming on the famous cobbles.

Violet was last in Weatherfield in 2008 after she gave birth to her son, Dylan Wilson, with father Sean Tully. Violet then moved to London with Dylan leaving the show.
