Conor Hourihane on life at Sheffield United and the threat former club Swansea City can cause

Conor Hourihane says Swansea City will pose Sheffield United a completely different set of questions to the ones asked of them by Hull City in midweek.

Russell Martin's side visit Bramall Lane this afternoon looking to build on last weekend's 3-1 win over Bristol City.

The Swans are no strangers to the on-loan Blades midfielder, who spent last season with the Welsh side, helping Steve Cooper's men reach the Championship play-off final.

He still keeps in touch with some of the players at the Swansea.com stadium and is well aware of the dangers they will pose.

A side who likes to dominate the ball, Paul Heckingbottom had warned in his pre-match press conference that United may have to be patient if they are to return to winning ways after back-to-back goalless draws.

Hourihane says United will do their homework ahead of kick-off, trying to identify the areas where they can gain an advantage.

"Speaking to one or two of the lads still, they try and play some good football with the new manager," he said.

"They play out from the back and pass the ball and that's the way Swansea have always done it over the years.

"They will try and take the ball in certain areas and probably not bank up as much as Hull did.

"Everyone brings their own strengths and different challenges and we'll have to be ready for them.

"We'll do our homework on them.

"We have our own strengths and we'll try and pinpoint a couple of their weaknesses and we'll be ready for it. Hopefully, we get the right result at the weekend."

It was not the greatest of starts for the 31-year-old at Bramall Lane after joining from Aston Villa in August.
