Christian Pulisic speaks out on his Chelsea future after meeting Todd Boehly

Christian Pulisic has refused to confirm he will remain at Chelsea but says he is ‘excited’ for the future after meeting new Stamford Bridge owner Todd Boehly.

American winger Pulisic has been linked with a move away from the Blues after slipping down Thomas Tuchel’s pecking order.

The 23-year-old started just 13 of Chelsea’s 38 Premier League games last season and has attracted interest from Serie A club Juventus.

Since completing a £58m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2019, Pulisic has scored 25 goals in 115 appearances for Chelsea, winning the Champions League, Club World Cup and Super Cup but struggling to cement a place in the starting line-up.

Asked if he sees his future at the Premier League club, Pulisic – who is currently on international duty – said: ‘As far as right now, I’m obviously just focused on what I’m doing here. And I’m super excited to be here. And yeah, that’s it.

‘Of course, I want to get more playing time. I want to be on the field as much as I can and be the sharpest I can be and fit as well.

‘I think I still got a lot of games, but it’s always something that I’m working at and trying to be regular at club level as well to put myself in the best position to be fit when I come here with the national team.’

Pulisic is preparing for the United States’ friendly against Morocco on Wednesday as Gregg Berhalter’s side continue their preparations for the Qatar World Cup.

Last month, Pulisic’s father took to social media in a now-deleted tweet to complain about his son’s lack of game-time at Chelsea.

But Pulisic says his focus is on performing for his country and the upcoming World Cup, adding: ‘My biggest dream was to play in a World Cup as a kid and some of my best memories are watching the USA in the World Cup.
