Chris Sutton dials Todd Cantwell feud back as Rangers star labelled BETTER than teammate Tom Lawrence

Chris Sutton believes Todd Cantwell has the edge over Tom Lawrence for Rangers - but his fellow pundit disagreed with Celtic in focus.

The Hoops hero hasn't hidden his views on the Light Blues star in the past with a number of notable feuds in recent times including ranking the former Norwich City man in his list of top five divers and while also taking aim at his 'bang average career' in a list of ding-dongs. However, he was on the DEFENCE of Philippe Clement's man as a debate took over the Sky Sports studio as to who would start alongside John Lundstram and Mohamed Diomande against Celtic at Parkhead next weekend in the huge derby showdown that will have a major say in the title battle with three points between the duo and just three games remaining.

Sutton reckons the Rangers fans are yet to see the 'very best' of Lawrence and believes the duo do have slightly different attributes to offer but would edge with Cantwell. However, James McFadden reckons it is Lawrence - who showed his quality for the Light Blues' third goal against Kilmarnock - who brings that bit more to the table. Speaking about Lawrence post-match, Sutton told Sky Sports: "He made an impact when he came on. I still don't think the Rangers fans have seen the very best of him. Really clever little shift and the finish is devastating."

McFadden added: "They bring something different. Tom Lawrence you see that quality and he plays more as a No10 and a support to the striker. He's got great technique, wants to do things quick like shift the ball and get a shot away or pass. Todd Cantwell brings energy and endeavour and has quality as well.
