Todd Cantwell lands brutal Rangers comparison to Michael Beale as 'shushburger' repeats eternal Celtic sin

John Hartson has cheekily claimed Todd Cantwell should learn from his former Rangers boss Michael Beale and remain quiet before facing Celtic.

And former Ibrox hero Craig Moore has warned the playmaker he should be "laying low" after failing to win the Scottish Premiership title after Cantwell left Rangers supporters furious following a series of social media posts. The ex-Norwich City man left punters baffled as he took to his Instagram stories to share a snap of his celebrating his goal in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Hearts with the caption 'shushburger please'.

Rangers diehards stressed the Englishman was falling below Ibrox "standards" for, in their eyes, celebrating a draw in the wake of losing the title to Brendan Rodgers' men. Speaking to Go Radio, Moore reckons that Light Blues' stars should be remaining radio silent if they have lost the title to the Hoops with the Hampden clash just around the corner.

He said: "I think he puts a lot of people off with the whole Todd Cantwell package - it's not just out there on the football field. When it's not going unbeilable and you are not winning the league title just lay low and keep quiet.

"But Todd Cantwell is certainly an individual and won't be told what he can and can't do in terms of supporters and social media. Social media, whether we like it or not, is a massive part of our game."

Celtic legend Hartson then added: "He has got to learn to talk after games rather than before games." He sarcastically added: "Just follow Michael Beale's example and he will be OK then." Moore then burst out laughing - with ex-boss Beale previously being hammered for being too outspoken before derby day.
