Chris Eubank Jr has 'lots of options' for next fight as Kell Brook showdown among 3 bouts teased

Chris Eubank Jr. has "lots of options" for his next fight, says his boxing promoter Kalle Sauerland.

World middleweight contender Eubank (33-3, 24 KOs) is hoping to land another big fight after defeating British rival Liam Smith in a rematch last September in Manchester with a 10th-round stoppage. When they first fought nearly a year ago, Eubank didn't make it past the fourth round. Now, the 33 year old former world title challenger is ranked within the top three of the WBC and WBA ratings as he seeks another shot at a world title.

"I'm talking a lot to team Eubank," Sauerland said to BoxingScene. "I spoke to them last night. I've got another call with them in the next few days. There are a lot of options. Obviously Janibek (Alimkhanuly) has the WBO title, that's an interesting fight. There is Kell Brook which is also an interesting fight too. There is Josh Kelly too, which is an interesting fight, but that is not one we are currently talking about."

Eubank has often been linked with Conor Benn, but their fight fell through due to Benn failing two drug tests. Now, Benn seems set for a run at 147 pounds, two weight classes away from Eubank's middleweight division.

They were scheduled to meet at a catchweight of 157lbs in October 2022. Eubank and Benn have also been linked with former world champion Brook, who was thought to be retired after a sixth-round knockout win over long-time rival Amir Khan in February 2022.

"There are always a lot of options with him," Sauerland said. "I don't need to kid any of you by mentioning names that people would think are on the option list as well, but it is all down to what team Eubank wants to do."
