Chelsea: Tuchel has 'final decision' on £50m star at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will have the final say on Conor Gallagher’s future, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The midfielder has attracted interest from Crystal Palace ahead of the window closing tomorrow, but Romano says the ball is in Tuchel’s court.

As per The Times, Palace have already launched a late move for Gallagher, offering their London rivals £27m for his services.

The 22-year-old, of course, spent last season out on loan at Selhurst Park, where he managed to make an impression.

In 34 Premier League appearances, he was able to score eight goals, which is not a bad return for a midfielder.

It is no surprise that Patrick Vieira wants him back at the club. However, a report from the Evening Standard suggests that Palace could be looking at £50m if Chelsea do decide to sell Gallagher before the transfer deadline tomorrow.

Romano has told GIVEMESPORT that Tuchel is the one who will decide what happens with Gallagher.

Speaking to GMS, the Italian journalist said: “It’s normal for Chelsea to have this kind of situation. From what I’m told, it’s Thomas Tuchel who has to decide. And, as of now, there’s no green light from Thomas Tuchel for Gallagher.”

First of all, there is nothing to suggest that Gallagher himself wants to return to Palace right now. And even if he did, it is hard to imagine Tuchel signing off on it.
