Leeds could make late move for 72-goal Brazilian at Elland Road

Leeds United have been monitoring Flamengo striker Pedro, according to the reliable Fabrizio Romano.

However, with the 25-year-old currently playing in South America and the transfer window closing tomorrow, the Italian journalist says they will have to move quickly if they want to sign him.

While Leeds have been busy in the market this summer, their business may not be finished just yet.

Speaking about transfers on Monday, Marsch said (via LeedsLive): “I think we’re still remaining optimistic and active.”

The Yorkshire club have already been able to add Brenden Aaronson, Luis Sinisterra, Tyler Adams, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, Darko Gyabi and Joel Robles to their squad.

Whatever happens tomorrow, it has certainly been a productive transfer window for Marsch and Leeds at Elland Road.

Romano has hinted that Pedro could be Leeds’ next signing, though he thinks they will have to get a move on if they are to have any chance of landing him.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the transfer expert said: “I’m told that the player they have been monitoring for a long time is Pedro from Flamengo, the Brazilian striker.

“But the problem with South American transfers is the timing. Of course, now we’re close to the end of the window, so they need to be fast if they want to do a South American deal.”

It is no surprise to hear that Leeds have a striker like Pedro on their radar, as up front has been a problem area for the Premier League outfit.

Patrick Bamford spent the majority of last season out injured, while Rodrigo, who is not even a natural lone No.9, has just dislocated his shoulder. Considering all of that, it is clear that Leeds could do with the arrival of a new forward before tomorrow’s deadline.
