Chelsea: £50m fan favourite now 'starting to worry' at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is concerned about his lack of opportunities under Thomas Tuchel, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The 22-year-old made his competitive Blues debut at Everton earlier this month, but he’s played less than 10 minutes in their opening two Premier League fixtures.

Having returned from a productive spell on loan at Crystal Palace, Gallagher would have been hoping to make an impression at Stamford Bridge.

But Gallagher found himself on the bench at Everton on the opening day, only making his debut as a substitute in the ninth minute of added-time.

Gallagher took to Instagram to express his delight at pulling on the shirt for the first time and while he was given slightly more time on the pitch against Tottenham on Sunday, which nearly allowed him to contribute an assist, his chances of starting games don’t appear likely to improve.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “He wants to keep fighting for his place in this team and he wants it to work out, but I’m told he is starting to worry a little bit that he’s not going to get game-time in the role that he feels he would flourish in for Chelsea.”

We’re only two games into the new season and Chelsea have looked far from their best, so it’s too early to suggest that Gallagher might seek a loan at this current moment.

But if Gallagher’s opportunities don’t improve in the next three matches before the deadline, he’ll have a big decision to make.

Not only will Gallagher want to avoid
