Chatham Town to host open training session this Saturday after making several new signings including Eitel Goueth, Jimmy Wild and Ben Coker

Chatham Town fans can get an early look at their new signings when the club hosts an open training session this Saturday.

Two players who have long been admired by the club’s management team have recently been added to the squad ahead of the 2026/27 season, with midfielder Eitel Goueth and forward Jimmy Wild signing for the Chats.

“We’re really pleased to have both Jimmy and Eitel on board,” said Chats boss Kevin Hake.

“Jimmy is a player we’ve admired for a long time. He’s a proven goalscorer, but there’s much more to his game than that.

“His all-round play, his work rate and the way he links the game make him a real asset.

“He was in demand this summer, and we had to beat off interest from a number of clubs to secure his signature, so we’re delighted he’s chosen Chatham Town.”

Goueth was last at Sheppey United, where he played under former Chats boss Kevin Watson.

Hake said: “Eitel is someone we’ve kept tabs on ever since he left the club six years ago after coming through the academy here.

“He had an excellent season with Sheppey, and we’ve continued to monitor his progress.

“I also want to give credit to Kevin Watson. Kevin knows Eitel well, spoke very highly of him, and his recommendation carried a lot of weight.

“He’s someone whose opinion I respect, so it was reassuring that what he was telling us matched exactly what we’d seen ourselves.

“Both players fit the profile we’re looking for, not just in terms of ability but also their character and desire to improve. We’re delighted to welcome them both to the football club.”

Following those comments, Chatham also announced the signing of experienced left-back Ben Coker.

WELCOME, BEN! ✍️

We are delighted to confirm the signing of Ben Coker from Ebbsfleet United.
