Chatham Town play Charlton Athletic in a pre-season friendly on Saturday and entry is free as the club holds their Community Day at the Bauvill Stadium
Chatham Town are throwing open the gates at the Bauvill Stadium for their annual Community Day.
Supporters will be able to enjoy a host of family activities before watching Kevin Hake's side take on a team representing Championship side Charlton Athletic.
Entry is free from 10am, with the Community Day running until midday before the men's first team face the Addicks at 1pm.
The event will include local businesses and charities, face painting, a question-and-answer session, and the chance for supporters to meet players from the men's and women's teams.
First-team manager and chairman Kevin Hake is hoping the day will showcase what the club is all about.
He said: "I'm looking forward to our annual Community Day.
"Football has an incredible ability to bring people together, and this day is about far more than a pre-season friendly.
“It’s about opening our doors to everyone, celebrating the people and organisations that make our community so special, and giving something back.
"We’ve invited local charities and businesses to be part of the day because we want to use the platform the football club has to help others.
“If we can introduce someone to a local charity, help a business make new connections, or simply give families a great day out together, then we’ve achieved what we set out to do.
"The growth of Chatham Town over the last few years has only been possible because of the support we’ve received from the local community. This is our opportunity to say thank you.
