'Changeable' weather expected in Greater Manchester - full Met Office forecast

The weather is set to be 'changeable' this week in Greater Manchester with a mix of rain showers, sunny spells and cloudy conditions forecast.

After a largely rainy weekend in our region, with a thunderstorm hitting on Sunday, more heavy showers are forecast for today (Tuesday). According to Met Office forecaster, downpours are expected through much of the morning and into the late afternoon.

From around 6pm, there may be some cloudy and sunny spells though some light showers are still expected. Temperatures will reach a high of around 17C.

Another mixed day is forecast tomorrow with some cloudy, sunny and rainy weather expected in Manchester. Light showers are forecast through the morning into the early afternoon.

The mercury will reach a high of around 16C. A similar picture is expected on Thursday with another mix of cloudy, sunny and rainy conditions predicted.

On the overall outlook for this week, the Met Office said: "The outlook into next week continues to look changeable for the UK, with showers and more persistent rain likely at times, particularly in the west and northwest, while the east and southeast are more likely to see drier weather. Temperatures are likely to be slightly above average for many, especially so in the southeast."
