Championship wrap: Obafemi grabs late Swansea winner

Republic of Ireland striker Michael Obafemi was sprung from the bench to fire home a late winner for Swansea City away to West Brom at the Hawthorns.

On 6 minutes, Baggies keeper David Button completely flapped at Ryan Manning's early corner, allowing Matt Sorinola to score.

Goals early in the second half from Jake Livermore and Grady Diangana turned the game on its head before Oliver Ntcham levelled it for the visitors on the 71st minute.

West Brom squandered the chance to regain the lead when substitute Grant missed an 81st-minute penalty after he had been shoved by fellow sub Armstrong Okoflex. Instead it was Swansea who won it when Obafemi turned smartly past his man on to Ntcham's pass to sidefoot past Button.

Angry West Brom supporters turned on manager Steve Bruce afterwards, with Obafemi's winner prompting chants of 'You're getting sacked in the morning.'

Callum Robinson headed a last-minute equaliser to secure Cardiff a 1-1 draw against Burnley in Mark Hudson's first game as manager.
