Swansea City 3-2 Reading: Darling, Cooper and Fulton goals earn hosts dramatic comeback win

Swansea City produced a remarkable comeback as they came from two goals down to beat Reading 3-2 in a dramatic Championship encounter.

The Swans dominated the vast majority of the contest in south Wales but trailed to first-half goals from Yakou Meite and Tom Ince. Harry Darling got the home side back into it with a headed goal from a corner before Ollie Cooper levelled proceedings in the second-half.

And Jay Fulton struck his second goal of the season as Russell Martin's men won having been in a losing position for the third time in the league this term.

Martin made three changes to the side that started the 4-0 loss to Burnley, with Joel Piroe's suspension paving the way for Cooper and Luke Cundle to operate behind Michael Obafemi.

Olivier Ntcham dropped to the bench along with Kyle Naughton who was replaced in the back three by summer signing Darling. The night got off to the worst possible start as a large portion of the Swansea.com Stadium's floodlights failed, meaning the game was briefly delayed.

Once play resumed, Swansea players showed they had no concerns over their own energy levels and swiftly set about causing the Royals problems. A slick team move ended with Matty Sorinola squaring to Matt Grimes who was challenged in the box before Obafemi drew a fine save from Joe Lumley.

The striker then headed over from Cundle's cross as the hosts controlled proceedings, with Reading restricted to counter attacks. Ben Cabango then took it upon himself to drill at goal from around 25 yards out, with Lumley producing a crucial finger-tip save to deny the Welshman what would have been a spectacular goal.
