Celtic transfer news bulletin as Jota 'to leave' Ittihad for FREE while Jung makes surprise pledge

The Scottish Premiership is now in cold storage - and Brendan Rodgers will be a happy man as he looks at the league table.

Celtic sit eight points clear of Rangers at the top of the pile - but there is no time for the Hoops to stand still with Philippe Clement's side still holding two games in hand over their city rivals. Rodgers has openly stated that he is looking to bring in reinforcements and more quality to keep their bid to retain the Scottish crown on track when football resumes.

One name that hasn't gone away is Gwangju FC star Jung Ho-Yeon - who claimed last week a move to Europe is "getting closer" with Celtic leading the race for a January deal. Boss Lee Jung-Hyo also that talks had "advanced" with the Scottish Premiership leaders over a move for the 23-year-old in the winter window - but the midfielder looks to have walked back the comments.
