Celtic should look in Rangers transfer 'drawer' as pundit warns left back pressure was NOTHING compared to keeper search

If Celtic thought they were under pressure in their recent transfer searches, they've been warned that's NOTHING compared to sourcing a replacement for Joe Hart.

The keeper announced on Wednesday that he will hang up his gloves at the end of the season after 20 years as a pro. That will leave Brendan Rodgers needing a new no. 1, with Scott Bain firmly established as his backup option and Benjamin Siegrist not even getting a look in. The Hoops hierarchy have come under fire following their last two transfer windows after failing to source midfield and left back upgrades, while Adam Idah's loan signing from Norwich received a lukewarm response.

But former defender Mark Wilson has told his former club that the demand to sign a quality keeper in Hart's absence will be even greater. And the champions can't afford to come up short. "It's a hard one to get," he told Clyde Super Scoreboard. "If Celtic's recruitment department thought they were under pressure with left-backs, strikers and midfielders, they've probably got the biggest of them all.

Fellow pundit Gordon Dalziel suggested that they take a leaf out of Rangers' book. He can't find fault with the goalkeepers the Govan club have recruited and it's an example the Hoops could do with following.
