Celtic in 'stonewall' penalty let off as Chris Sutton and fellow pundits deliver unanimous verdict on Raith Rovers claim

Pundits were in agreement that Raith Rovers should have had a penalty for handball in their Scottish Cup clash with Celtic.

And that includes Chris Sutton who agreed with Paul Hartley's assessment that it was a "stonewaller."

The Premiership frontrunners were leading through Liam Scales' wonderful strike when the ball appeared to strike Cameron Carter-Vickers' arm in the box during the first half.

The defender was under no apparent pressure from the Rovers front line but moved his arm towards the ball as he controlled it, leading to immediate claims for a penalty from the visitors.

Michael Stewart on commentary for Premier Sports remarked that it was a "clear penalty" at the time.
