Celtic fans hijack Adam Idah training cameo to tell Norwich 'stop holding him hostage'

Adam Idah has been spotted training with his Norwich teammates - and expectant Celtic fans have hijacked their social media to tell him 'get up the road'.

The Hoops are in talks to take the striker back to Parkhead after a successful loan spell in the second half of last season that saw Idah net nine goals - including the winner in the Scottish Cup Final. It's expected an agreement between the two parties will be struck at some stage but it's taking its time and fans are getting impatient.

On Tuesday, Celtic punters flooded to Skyscanner after Idah posted a picture from a plane - the hope being he was either on his way to Glasgow, or to the States to link up with Brendan Rodgers and his team for pre-season. But that didn't come to pass as it soon emerged he was actually heading to Belgium for Norwich's pre-season camp.

Footage and images posted on Norwich's socials have since confirmed that and it's safe to say Celtic fans are less than pleased to see him getting his head down with his current teammates. #FreeAdam was spotted in the replies to a video which showed a couple of seconds of Idah getting down to business.

And the comments section was also flooded by supporters of the Scottish Premiership champions - one writing: "Stop gatekeeping Idah, he wants to be at the Celtic," while another said "Stop holding Idah hostage."

Other comments were more to the point. "Tell Idah to get back up the road," said one impatient fan, while another simply said: "Give us f****** Idah back."
