Celtic and Rangers TV fixture shakeup as live picks announced and SPFL resolve Saints Ibrox trip headache

The SPFL have confirmed the latest TV picks with a host of games picking up new dates to due club European involvement – and a run in Glasgow.

Celtic and Rangers will both see a raft of changes with the Hoops landing an 5.45pm kick-off on Premier Sports with St Johnstone in Perth on Saturday, September 28 with their Glasgow rivals on the box to host Hibs at 12 noon on Sky Sports on the Sunday. The Great Scottish Run takes place on Sunday, October 6 in Glasgow and with Rangers scheduled to play Craig Levein's men at Ibrox that day, the fixture has now been handed an unusual 8pm kick-off time in order to avoid any clashes with road closures and the run itself. Record Sport exclusively broke the news of the fixture time switch up earlier today.

Premier Sports will beam that game with Brendan Rodgers' men also live that day on Sky Sports at 12pm against Ross County in Dingwall. Rangers and Hearts are both playing in the Europa League and Conference League meaning a number of their games have been switched to the Sunday's including the first Edinburgh derby of the season at Easter Road. That will now take place on Sunday, October 27 with a start time yet to be determined.

Saturday September 28 - St Johnstone v Celtic (Premier Sports, 5.45pm)

Sunday September 29 - Rangers v Hibernian (Sky Sports, 12 noon)

Sunday October 6 - Ross County v Celtic (Sky Sports, 12 noon), Aberdeen v Heart of Midlothian (3.00pm), Rangers v St Johnstone (Premier Sports, 8.00pm)
