CCTV appeal after attack on man at Manchester AO Arena following Liam Smith v Chris Eubank Jr fight

Police have released a CCTV picture of a man they want to speak to after a serious attack at Manchester's AO Arena following a boxing match.

The attack happened shortly after midnight on Sunday, September 3, after the fight between Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr at the venue on Hunts Bank. The victim was left seriously hurt and was taken to hospital from the scene.

His injuries were thankfully not believed to be life-changing, police said. Officers believe the man captured in the photo 'may have important information' about the incident.

Anyone who recognises him is being urged to get in touch with police. Greater Manchester Police also want to hear from anyone who has footage of the attack.
