Casualty taken to hospital after car flips onto its side during dramatic crash

A casualty has been taken to hospital after being cut out of a car following a dramatic crash. Emergency services were scrambled to the scene of a smash in Urmston this afternoon, March 6.

Two fire engines and a technical response unit rushed to the scene in Falcon Avenue just before 4.30pm this afternoon. Firefighters had to cut out one person from a vehicle, according to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.

The casualty was then taken into the care of paramedics from North West Ambulance Service. In the hours following, eyewitnesses say they saw a car being flipped back onto its tyres after being knocked over onto its side.
