Carl Froch takes swipe at Tyson Fury ‘love handles’ ahead of Oleksandr Usyk fight

Carl Froch has instructed Tyson Fury to lose his ‘love handles’ ahead of his undisputed heavyweight clash with Oleksandr Usyk.

It was confirmed last week that Fury and Usyk had reached an agreement to compete for all four belts in the division for the first time since Lennox Lewis in 1999. The fight has been a long time in the making, with negotiations between WBC champion Fury and Usyk previously collapsing over purse splits.

It is the fight that all boxing fans have been clamoring for, ever since Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua to win his three world titles in 2021. An undisputed champion at cruiserweight before stepping up to heavyweight in 2019, Usyk took little time in adapting to the new weight and will pose a significant test to Fury, when the undefeated pair finally face off this winter.

Before then, Fury must get through his exhibition bout with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou on October 28. Former world champion Froch has warned that the crossover fight may impact Fury’s preparation and can see a path to victory for Usyk.

But he is getting older and slowing down a little bit, but so is Fury, so he could outbox, outwork, and outskill him.

“Also is Fury at his best? He puts weight on between fights. He’s carrying a lot of belly fat
