Burnley vs Manchester United LIVE highlights and reaction as Bruno Fernandes scores winner

Manchester United must bounce back against Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday night.

United were defeated 4-3 against Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek and although just a single goal was the difference by the final whistle, the scoreline was flattering and the hosts deserved to win.

Erik ten Hag is facing the most challenging period of his tenure at Old Trafford yet and it's important United get back to winning ways against Burnley at Turf Moor after suffering four defeats in six games this season. Burnley are yet to win a game in the league in the new campaign and they're among the favourites to be relegated.

Regarding the team news, Hannibal Mejbri, Scott McTominay and Jonny Evans come into the team but Lisandro Martinez is missing through injury. New signing Sofyan Amrabat makes the bench for the first time but Mason Mount remains sidelined.

Jonny Evans first started for Manchester United at Turf Moor as a 21-year-old in Burnley's first-ever Premier League win. It remains their last on home turf against United.

If the presence of Evans in an unpredictable United XI was portentous, he did his utmost to avoid a humbling akin to 2009. He had a goal disallowed and created Bruno Fernandes' winner just as the fourth official had taken his seat after signalling added time for the first half.

Evans, now 35, has always been a better footballer than a defender and he was once entrusted with left-back duties in a cup final by Sir Alex Ferguson. It was Evans' left foot that picked out Fernandes with an airborne pass that flew at least 30 yards.
