Alejandro Garnacho's reaction to Ruben Amorim's Manchester United speech said everything

Manchester United ended the season with a 2-0 win against Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Aston Villa were looking to take all three points from Old Trafford in their bid to qualify for the Champions League, but they looked nervous from the first whistle and United played with the sort of intensity that was absent in the Europa League final.

United were the better side and created plenty of chances, but it took until late in the second half for Amad to break the deadlock, a goal which was followed by a Christian Eriksen penalty.

Garnacho did not applaud Amorim

Matthijs de Ligt, Joshua Zirkzee, Dermot Mee and Sekou Kone all watched the game from the directors' box, but there was no Alejandro Garnacho, suggesting he was in his private box.

Garnacho was left out of the squad against Villa and is free to leave the club this summer, despite Amorim confirming he would be part of their post-season tour next week.

Amorim named Garnacho on the bench for the Europa League final and the 20-year-old hit out at the decision after the game.

Garnacho joined his teammates on the pitch for Amorim's speech and he was the only player not to applaud when it finished, which perhaps shows how he feels about United's head coach.

Although it will be a genuine shame if Garnacho's time at Old Trafford ends on this sour note, the player has nobody but himself to blame after crossing the line with his manager.

Amorim's fury

With 20 minutes remaining, United's xG (expected goals) was 1.52, with Villa's just 0.06, but you didn't need the stats to tell you how many chances had been wasted.
