Bruno Lage reveals Wolves transfer hope amid Ruben Neves vow

Good morning, Wolves fans! Here are your latest headlines ahead of this afternoon's game at home to Fulham.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Bruno Lage has insisted the club are doing everything they can to keep Ruben Neves this summer.

Neves has been the subject of speculation regarding a possible move away from Molineux after five years in the Black Country. The midfielder has been linked with transfers to Barcelona and Manchester United after admitting in May that he may have to leave the club to pursue his European ambitions.

No official bid has been made as of yet and the 25 year-old captained Lage's side in last weekend's Premier League defeat to Leeds United. With his future still unclear, the Wolves head coach has assured supporters that the club are doing all they can to keep their Portuguese midfield maestro.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Bruno Lage has said that letting Conor Coady leave the club was "very hard".

Coady's seven-year stay at Molineux came to an end earlier this week when Everton secured his services on an initial loan move, with Frank Lampard's side having the option of a permanent transfer. The defender made 317 appearances for Wolves in all competitions, missing just two league games since the 2017/18 season prior to being an unused substitute in the defeat to Leeds United last weekend.

The England international's exit comes as he mounts a bid for regular football in a World Cup year, with Lage opting for a centre-back partnership of summer signing Nathan Collins and Max Kilman in a back four at Elland Road last weekend.

Bruno Lage has urged Wolverhampton Wanderers to have "patience and trust" with the club after hinting at “three or four” new signings.
