Bruno Fernandes sends message to Donny van de Beek after Manchester United goalscoring return vs Lyon

Bruno Fernandes was 'really happy' to see Donny van de Beek back on the pitch after he scored the deciding goal in Manchester United's 1-0 win over Lyon in Edinburgh.

Van de Beek suffered a serious knee injury during the 3-0 win against Bournemouth in January, which ruled him out for the rest of the season. The Dutchman made just two league starts for United in a frustrating campaign.

Erik ten Hag left his midfielder back at Carrington for last week's 2-0 win over Leeds United in Oslo as he continued an individual rehabilitation programme, but the 26-year-old was ready to return at Murrayfield.
