BREAKING: Two women injured after van smashes into building

Two women have been left injured after a van smashed into a building in Oldham in the early hours of the morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash at the junction of Featherstall Road South and Middleton Road at around 1.45am this morning (Monday). Police said a van 'collided with a building'.

One woman was taken to hospital from the scene. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this stage.

Another woman suffered minor injuries in the crash. This morning, a stretch of the road at the busy junction remained cordoned off by police.

Pictures taken at the scene showed a badly damaged pink van and black car within the police tape. In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 1.45am today (Monday, 17 April 2023), emergency services were called to reports of a van colliding with a building on Featherstall Road South, Oldham.

"One woman received minor injuries not believed to be life-threatening. Another woman remains in hospital.

"A small area around the building remains closed off."
