BREAKING: Police cordon off road after crash between motorbike and van - latest updates

A road in Bolton has been cordoned off by police this afternoon after a crash between a motorbike and a van.

Officers were called to the scene of the smash on Lavender Road in Farnworth at around 11.50am this morning (Tuesday). Ambulance crews were also called to the scene.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said the crash involved a motorbike and a van. It has not yet been confirmed who was injured, though the spokesperson said injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

This afternoon, a stretch of the road where Lavender Road meets Campbell Street is cordoned off. Officers from GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit on the scene.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers were called to a crash between a car and a van on Lavender Road at around 11.50am.

Though it has not yet been confirmed how many people were injured, injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are on the scene.
