BREAKING: Police cordon in place near river with divers and search teams on scene - latest updates
A police cordon is in place near a river in Stockport this afternoon with divers and search units on the scene.
A section of woodland at the bottom of Reddish Vale Country Park near the River Tame has been taped off. Specialist search teams, divers and Tactical Aid Unit officers have been pictured on the scene.
The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed. Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for information.
