Branthwaite error, £59m risk, next Saliba - final Leny Yoro Man United transfer verdict

Leny Yoro will soon become Manchester United’s second signing of the summer window in a deal potentially rising to £58.7m.

United will initially pay out £42m, with the rest of the fee due to be topped up by forthcoming add-ons. Coupled with the £36m arrival of Joshua Zrikzee, United will have spent around £95m for two signings when Yoro’s move is completed.

Everton are said to be baffled by the fee paid for Yoro, who has made just 60 senior appearances in his career and had a year left on his Lille contract, given United were reluctant to raise their second bid of £45m for Jarrad Branthwaite.
