Bolton boss Ian Evatt on Sheffield Wednesday, assesses Owls transfers, expectation & team selection
Bolton Wanderers host Sheffield Wednesday this weekend in one of the big games of the weekend in League One.
More than 20,000 tickets have been sold for the clash at the University of Bolton Stadium. Some 5,000 Owls fans poised to be in attendance too as two of the sides with aspirations to be near the top of the table by the end of the season will take on each other.
Wanderers go into the encounter unbeaten so far this season and are fourth in the table on eight points. The Owls are just behind the Whites with seven points, and sit eighth after the midweek loss on the road to Peterborough United.

Ahead of the big game, Wanderers boss Ian Evatt spoke to the press and here's a full transcript of what he had to say to broadcasters prior to the clash.
You must be looking forward to this, there will be a packed stadium and a decent game?
“A big game, a big club in their own right Sheffield Wednesday, but we are too. I think it’ll be a very good game, two good teams. Sheffield Wednesday recruited heavily in the summer.
“They’re a strong powerful team so it’s going to be a big ask for us, but one we’re looking forward to.”
At this early stage of the season, put it into perspective?
“It’s hard to really. We know it’s only three points and we want to carry on this momentum that we’ve built for ourselves, probably since January last season to be honest.
“That’s all it’s about for us, we understand it’s a big game, we understand there’s going to be a really good crowd here, but it’s about a continuation of what we’ve done so far this season and if we can concentrate on ourselves and our own performance levels, then we give
