Manchester United boost, Man City poser and eyes on Arsenal as Premier League returns

Manchester United and Manchester City will recommence their Premier League season on Saturday as domestic football returns to the UK.

Despite Storm Babet battering parts of the UK, it is still expected both of the Manchester clubs' matches will continue as scheduled and it should be an important matchday for both teams. United are looking to build on the momentum they gained from a late 2-1 victory over Brentford prior to the break when they travel to Sheffield United this evening.

Before then, City have the ominous task of facing Brighton and Hove Albion at the Etihad Stadium as they look to avoid three straight Premier League defeats on the spin. Elsewhere there are two key matches in the top flight with Liverpool hosting Everton in the Merseyside derby and Chelsea facing Arsenal in the 5:30pm match.

Injuries have been a sore point all season for Ten Hag and have proved a hindrance when it comes to selecting teams. However, when his men travel to South Yorkshire tonight, the boss could be able to call on some players who were confined to the treatment room.
