Beauty salon owner left in tears after getting handbag zip stuck through her nose in 'freak accident'

A beauty salon owner was left in tears after getting her handbag zip stuck through her nose in a freak accident. Kayla Robinson, 41, was lifting her crossbody bag over her head when the zip got lodged under her right nostril.

The accident left her bleeding and sobbing in pain, forcing her to visit a walk-in centre for medics to cut the bag from her nose, ChronicleLive reports.

Kayla, who owns Slay Beauty Rooms in Winlaton, near Newcastle, had been planning to take her three French Bulldogs - Ralphie, Reggie and River, all two, for a walk with her cousin Jade Skollin, 38. She said the incident occurred as she was trying to get the dogs into the car.

Kayla said: "I was putting them in the boot like I normally do and Ralphie jumped over the boot, through to the passenger seat. He had me all up a height. I lifted my bag up to take it over my head. Kayla said they initially thought the bag, which was a birthday gift from her daughter, must have been stuck to her nose piercing before realising that it was actually attached to her nostril.

She said: "There was quite a bit of blood. Jade just looked at me and burst out laughing. She was crying with laughter and I was crying with pain. My dogs were devastated they weren't getting taken for a walk anymore.

"I was crying my eyes out. I was panicking because I really thought that it had come through the front of my nose. I thought I was going to have a huge gaping hole in my nose and it was going to need plastic surgery.

"I went inside the house to get some metal cutters. We tried to remove it
