BBC The Jetty full cast list: Who stars in the new detective drama?

Jenna Coleman, famed for her roles in Doctor Who and Victoria, is set to headline the BBC's upcoming drama The Jetty. In this new mystery thriller, Coleman takes on the role of Detective Ember Manning.

The cast boasts an array of talent from popular series such as House of the Dragon, Shadow and Bone, I May Destroy You, Bridgerton, and Happy Valley. Joining Jenna are Archie Renaux as Hitch, a novice detective, Ruby Stokes as Hannah, Ember's daughter, and Amelia Bullmore portraying Sylvia, Ember's mother.

Additional cast members include Bo Bragason as Amy, Tom Glynn-Carney from House of the Dragon as Malachy, Matthew McNulty as Arj, and Weruche Opia in the role of Riz. Cat Jones, the show's writer, creator, and executive producer, said of the characters: "Ember, played by the brilliant Jenna Coleman, is our central character.

"She goes on a journey trying to find answers for crimes that were committed, but she's also on a very personal journey of self-discovery where she's looking back at her past and re-assessing whether the things that happened to her were okay. Her mum Sylvia played by Amelia Bullmore, and her daughter Hannah, played by Ruby Stokes, are really impacted by her soul searching and the three of them form the spine of the show.", reports the Mirror.

"There are also some fantastic younger characters, Caitlin (Laura Marcus) and Amy (Bo Bragason), who are a couple of teenage girls that develop quite an unhealthy love affair. And then you've got Malachy (Tom Glynn-Carney) who is a grown man having an abusive and illegal relationship with Amy."

Speaking about her character, Jenna said: "Ember is quite prickly, stubborn, proud and free-willed. She's also very warm and loyal. And I also think she's really funny.
