BBC Strictly's Aljaz Skorjanec shares 'sad' message amid stage return with wife Janette Manrara months after daughter's birth

Aljaz Skorjanec shared a 'sad' message after returning to the stage alongside wife Janette Manrara. The former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer is currently in the midst of touring the country with Janette with their Christmas show, Dancing in a Winter Wonderland with Aljaz and Janette.

The couple's return to the stage come months after becoming parents for the first time. Aljaz, 33, and Janette, 40, welcomed their first child into the world back in July after announcing at the start of their year they were expecting. The couple discovered the happy news before starting IVF treatment and later welcomed Lyra Rose via C-section on July 28.

They confirmed Lyra's arrival in a social media post shared on both of their Instagram pages featuring the first adorable photo of the new family of three. It featured a black and white photo in which Janette could be seen cradling the newborn in her hospital bed while Aljaz leaned over them while beaming for the camera.

And after spending some time in their baby bubble, Janette and Aljaz have since been heading back to work with Janette co-hosting Strictly spin-off It Takes Two and Aljaz popping off to host dancing lessons. But now, the pair are preparing to return to the stage together for their Christmas show which began earlier this week.
