BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Karen Hauer addresses show future as she's asked about 'retirement' and teases plans with co-star

Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Hauer has addressed her future on the show after being asked about 'retirement'. The dancer has been part of the show since 2012 and was this year partnered with comediain Eddie Kadi.

The pair, sadly, were the fourth couple to leave the BBC One dance contest and it appears fans have been speculating that, after over a decade on the show, the current series - which comes to an end in just over a week's time on Saturday, December 16 - could be her last.

Taking part in a question and answer session on Instagram this week, one fan put the question to Karen. The 41-year-old was asked: "Are you considering retirement from Strictly?"

And it appears Karen didn't have too much to say in response but did shut down any rumours as the Venezuelan dancer replied: "Ummm, no, darlin’!" Meanwhile, she appeared to tease some upcoming work news with her Strictly co-star.

Karen and Gorka Marquez have been in a dancing couple for years now and were on tour earlier this year in their own show, Firedance. During the Q&A, another fan asked: "Any plans for another your with Gorka?" Sharing a picture of the pair laughing and joking together in rehearsals, she simply replied: "Watch this space!"

It comes after Karen was flooded with praise over the weekend after taking centre stage during the opening number for the Strictly 2023 quarter-final. To mark what was also Musicals week on Saturday night, the talented group of pro dancers performed an epics version of A Chorus Line. In homage to the Broadway and West End
