Gemma Atkinson shares 'last' message as she gives update on family life and exciting career news

Gemma Atkinson has said that her second child is her 'last' as he helped her reveal an exciting career update. The Hits Radio host welcomed her son into the world over the summer alongside her Strictly Come Dancing star fiance Gorka Marquez.

The couple, who met on the BBC One dance contest in 2017, announced back in January that they were expanding their brood after welcoming their first child, Mia, at the start of July 2019. In July, Gemma, 39, and Gorka, 33, welcomed a son who they named Thiago Thomas Marquez.

Gemma has since been keeping her fans and followers updated on her new life as a mum-of-two. But after gently easing herself back into a couple of work projects in recent months, on Tuesday (December 5), the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star had some news to share.

In a video posted to her Instagram story, Gemma could be seen holding almost five-month-old Thiago, known as Tio for short, as she said she's been asked about when she's returning to her role as co-host of the Drivetime show on Hits Radio alongside Mike Toolan.

"I'm going back in April," Gemma, who has temporarily been replaced by former Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent during her maternity leave, confirmed. "Mid-April, after Easter," she added before saying to her baby boy: "You're my last baby. I'm not having anymore after you so I want to make the most of this maternity leave."
