BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers ask 'is it just me' as they make same observation about Anton Du Beke

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left wondering if someone had 'upset' Anton Du Beke before he appeared live in the ballroom for the next instalment of glitz, glam and dance moves. The show's former professional dancer was back on the judging panel as the BBC One dance contest reached the halfway mark.

Alongside Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas, the four-piece were ready to cast an expert eye over the nine remaining couples as they bid to keep their place in the competition and to be in with a chance of lifting the Glitterball trophy when the 2023 series draws to a close in December.

Kicking off the show on Saturday night (November 4), actor Layton Williams burst onto the dancefloor with a lively jive which featured quick footwork, a pirouette and an aerial cartwheel.

Donning a matching glitzy costume with his partner Nikita Kuzmin, they performed to Shake Your Body by SHY FX & T Power feat Di to secure a score of 36 – the highest scoring jive of the series so far.

Head judge Shirley noted it was one of the most difficult dances, praising it as “absolutely outstanding”. But Anton said he agreed to a point, but felt his kicks got a "little heavy" towards the end, adding: "Great but not your best," which resulted in some boos and Shirley and Motsi disagreeing.

Then, veteran broadcaster Angela Rippon appeared on the floor where she delivered an elegant waltz with partner Kai Widdrington. Dressed in a blue dress with a sparkly bodice, they glided to Fascination by Nat King Cole to pick up a score of 28.
